The 2009 Fairport Canal Days was a huge success. We thank you for coming and hope you had a great time. We did!

Fairport Canal Days: 2009 Poster

The 2009 Canal Days poster, by Fairport photographer Doug McFarland is titled “Magnolia Morning on the Canal”. Says McFarland, “it represents a small part of the beauty of Fairport, and all the hard work people put into keeping our Village a great place to see, live and visit.” Fairport graphic artist Sherri Baker created the final poster design. Baker chose poster colors that accentuate the photograph, including a direct purple-grey color match from the tree blossoms in the foreground, to frame McFarland’s image strongly and make it “pop” visually.

Fairport Canal Days

The Fairport Canal Days festival is one of the premier annual Arts and Crafts festivals in the Northeast, attracting nearly a quarter-million visitors each year! It is held annually during the first full weekend of June in beautiful Fairport, NY, along the banks of the historic Erie Canal.

		Over 300 artisan booths, featuring ceramics, photos, glass, painting, toys, wood crafts, and much much more!
Enjoy funnel cakes and kettlecorn, blackened chicken, pitas, or hamburgers, ice cream, strudel, or cannoli, from the 40+ vendors serving food and drink!
		Performances by regional bands, dancers, storytellers, and more, plus kids activities to entertain the younger crowd!
Take a ride on the scenic Erie Canal! Or take a leisurely stroll along its banks!

Friday night festivities include
a chicken BBQ and entertainment by Gap Mangione and his Big Band.
