Examples of some of the woods are Purple Heart, Wenge, Zebra, Walnut, Cherry, Maple,Blood wood and Paduak. Finishes used are mineral oil, beeswax, tung oil and Bush oil, or shellac Some items may also be enhanced with various colors of epoxy. Examples of my techinque: Woven Boards/lazy susans require layering of various wood,cutting on band saw and pieced together to form the woven pattern. The piece is sanded to 240 grit and fininshed with mineral oil and beeswax. Ribbon Box 30 inch strips of wood are cut to the thickness desired and glued together. Band saw is used for shaping, the center hole is started by drilling and finished on the scroll saw. The final step is the spindle sander.

This is a Lazy Susan. It is about 17" round. The woods are Purple Heart, Maple, Walnut, and Butternut. Like the charcuterie board, the woods are overlapped, cut on the bandsaw, and pieced together to form the woven pattern. The finish is mineral oil and beeswax.

This ribbon box is roughly 5"L x 4"W x 3.5" H. The bows add about 1-1/2" to the height. The box is Maple, the bows and ribbons Maple and Padauk. The liner is also Padauk. The boxes vary in size and species of wood. The largest being about 8"x6"x4".

This charcuterie board is about 18" long and 10" wide. The woods are Maple, Walnut, Cherry, and Padauk. The different boards are overlapped, cut on the bandsaw and pieced together to form this woven pattern. Charcuterie boards are finished with mineral oil and beeswax.
