I embrace the unpredictability of the creative process, allowing my art to evolve organically. My paintings are primarily acrylic and oil with a frequent incorporation of encaustics. I build my pieces by layering various mediums to achieve texture and depth, embracing the unpredictable nature of the creative process. As a recent retiree from the Corning Museum of Glass my work is inspired by the unorchestrated balance of nature and the fluid nature of glassblowing. I feel abstract artists have this intuitive power that connects people through their art. It takes me anywhere from days to weeks to finish a piece. I start with a flat canvas, then let my creativity flow by pouring and pulling paint. After it's dry, I add details and dimensions to take viewers on an adventure. The ultimate compliment? When someone is captivated by my work.
