Glori Bead, LLCBooth Number: TBD Address: Website: https://gloribead.com Contact: gloribead@gmail.com Once I’ve settled on a project, I select the beads and color pallet for the piece. I primarily utilize an off-loom bead weaving technique. This technique requires picking up one or multiple beads at a time and stitching through beads previously added. It’s very important to manage thread tension and the proper securing of thread when either adding thread or ending the piece prior to adding the clasp. Off-loom bead weaving techniques that I use include the Ladder Stitch, Square Stitch, Herringbone Stitch, Brick Stitch, Peyote Stitch and Right-Angle Weave. I primarily use glass beads from the Czech Republic and Japan and crystal beads from Austria. I stitch with 6 or 8 pound fishing line so my pieces are solidly constructed. To keep my work varied I also use natural semi-precious gem stones, resin and coins in my finished designs. |
