My works are mostly oil paintings on canvas and reproductions from my originals including greeting cards, prints, ornaments, magnets.

This oil painting is my attempt to visualize the Erie Canal Boat Seneca Chief underway in the Erie Canal. It is a full-sized replica of the original boat that traveled the Erie Canal back in 1825. The project has been undertaken by the Buffalo Maritime Center located in Buffalo, NY. The build started in 2020 and completed in 2024 with the hard work and inspiration of hundreds of volunteers. During that time, all involve with the project were learning and using traditional boat-building skills. Starting September 24, 2025, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal, the boat will navigate the entire length of the Erie Canal system with the intent to finish the voyage to New York City after approximately 33 days. It’s always great to see a wonderful sunset! But what could be better than seeing the Sodus lighthouse, strongly lit by really warm colors, great clouds patterns over the lake and a sailboat leaving the bay? I’m not sure what that might be? I’m always on the lookout for great scenes like this one. Autumn is the best time for such a capture. It’s a good feeling to be in the right place at the right time of year to see the sky ablaze and the effect created by the sun on all elements of a landscape during this time of year.
I’ve hiked in Glacier National Park quite a few times and have always been amazed by the mountain goats I see. Each visit, I bring home a ton of photos of these stunning animals. The mom goat always seems to be on high alert, keeping a close eye on everything around her. One can almost always spot these creatures at Logans Pass, but especially on the trail up to Hidden Lake. Honestly, what makes it truly special is the breathtaking landscape which also includes the goats. Spectacular! The clear sky and vibrant greenery create a serene, natural scene.
